About Edge Spotter
Understanding the signal discovery framework
Edge Spotter identifies where structured model confidence diverges from market-implied positions.
It does not predict outcomes. It measures disagreement between model and market.
What Is Edge Spotter?
Edge Spotter fetches publicly available market data from Kalshi.com and analyzes it using the framework.
It is designed to help users explore markets more clearly by presenting model assessments, historical outcomes, and a transparent track record without exposing internal mechanics or encouraging automated decision-making.
How Edge Spotter Works
Edge Spotter evaluates markets using a fixed, five-state Confidence Allocation model:
- Yes
- Likely
- Unknown
- Not Likely
- No
Rather than producing a single numeric forecast, the system allocates confidence across these states to reflect uncertainty, ambiguity, and available evidence.
This approach prioritizes clarity and robustness over precision illusions.
Transparency by Design
Every signal published by Edge Spotter is logged and tracked:
- Publication is automatic and rules-based. The same predefined qualification gates run on every candidate before the market outcome is known.
- Every published signal is logged at publication time and remains in the permanent record.
- Outcomes (CORRECT and INCORRECT) are recorded once markets resolve, and never change a signal's published status.
- The Track Record shows winning and losing published signals together. Performance is calculated consistently across the entire published set.
No hand selection. No cherry-picking. No retroactive removal. No performance-based publication. Publication decisions are made before outcomes exist.
Security and Access Control
Edge Spotter uses server-side enforcement for all access decisions:
- Free, Pro, and Power tiers are enforced on the server
- Missing or expired tiers fail closed to Free
- Client-side inputs cannot override entitlements
- Rate limiting and abuse safeguards are always active
This ensures predictable, auditable behavior for all users.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Edge Spotter use probabilities?
Edge Spotter performs probabilistic reasoning using QSE's Confidence Allocation framework. Rather than producing a single numeric forecast, the model distributes confidence across five qualitative states, capturing nuance and uncertainty that point estimates lose.
Signals are derived from the divergence between the model's probabilistic assessment and market-implied pricing. They are analytical observations, not personalized recommendations.
What is the difference between "Market Est." and "Model Est."?
- Market Est. (pm) reflects the market's implied position.
- Model Est. (peff) reflects the QSE Confidence Allocation assessment.
The represents the difference between these estimates, scaled by the model's certainty.
Differences between the two can highlight areas of interest, but they are not guarantees or recommendations.
How is performance measured?
Performance is measured through a transparent track record:
- Each signal is logged when published
- Outcomes are recorded once markets resolve
- Summary statistics are calculated consistently
All users can view the public track record.
What data can I export?
Pro and Power users can export CSV files containing public fields only:
- Signal identifiers
- Market identifiers
- Publish timestamps
- Direction and edge metrics
- Market and model estimates
- Time-to-close information
- Aggregate performance statistics
Internal model details are never included.
What data is not exposed?
Edge Spotter never exposes:
- Internal weights
- Calibration data
- Raw factor scores
- Diagnostic traces
- Private execution details
This separation preserves system integrity while maintaining transparency at the outcome level.
What happens if my subscription expires?
If a tier expires or cannot be verified, access fails closed to the Free tier.
There is no silent escalation or partial access.
Is Edge Spotter automated trading?
No.
Edge Spotter does not place trades, automate execution, or integrate with brokerage accounts. It is strictly an informational and analytical tool.
Is this financial advice?
No.
Edge Spotter does not provide financial, investment, legal, or wagering advice. All content is informational only.
This system prioritizes integrity over volume and clarity over false precision.
